Winamp force closes itself after 5 seconds. Every time.
Windows 10
I just updated a few minutes ago, and now WinAmp will not work. It will load up, and start populating the windows below, and then it just closes. No errors, no dialogs. Nothing. If I launch the program by doing a "Open With" in windows explorer on a mp3 file, it will play for a couple seconds before stopping and closing. Tried opening in "WinAmp Safe Mode" and it was no different. |

After Winamp closes look in the Task Manager's Apps and Background processes to see if there are any Winamp processes still listed. If there are, right-click on each one and select the "End task" command.
Sometimes after a crash or if Winamp doesn't shutdown properly, a partial process is left running in the foreground and/or background. This prevents Winamp from restarting properly. Windows 11 Home 64-bit v22H2 desktop - Logitech Z906 5.1 speaker system |
