NsvPlayX

Hello
I think about embedding NsvPlayX in a shockwave movie.
Lingo gives the ability to use methods like in html.
After having investigated, i wonder where i can find NsvPlayX.hlp if it exists ?

I need to use the GetFromMeta() method to get the name property. I also wonder about the other usages of this method (the GetBitrate() and the classical methods work fine).

I also have problems with codecs : NsvPlayX doesn't seems to be able to play vp6 movies outside winamp i presume ?

Thank you for your support.
regards

nsvplayX

I've seen that page before :
the fact is that director is not able to method nsxplayx control except for the vp3 version, even if it can embed them.
Lingo can access multiple properties and methods, no event.
I suppose there is a way to use them via javascript or vb :

property :
url

methods :
AboutBox, Append, Clear, GetBitRate, GetFromMeta, GetLength, GetPosition, GoFullScreen, Next, Open, Pause, Play, Prev, Seek, SetCallBack, SetVolume, Stop.

lingo example:

-- fullscreen button
on mousewithin me
cursor 280
end
on mouseUp me
if sprite(2).member.name = "videoNSV" then
sprite(2).GoFullScreen()
else if sprite(2).member.name = "videoREAL" then
sprite(2).SetFullScreen()
-- you can test other players here
end if
end
on mouseleave me
cursor -1
end

just as any video format, it can be usefull to synchronize metatadas (jpegs, xml...) on the client-side.

As you can see there is much more to do with that AX than an embed for netscape

thank you for your interest
best regards

PENTAPOSTING.

I replied in another thread, and you saw it, about the Fullscreen button.
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....32#post1319832

There is no way to start an NSV at a certain time, and I believe someone had answered that same question you asked (which you asked in about 40 bajillion threads) in another thread, but if you believe you need to ask everywhere for someone to see it, it seems someone has to reply everywhere for YOU to see it.

And what does this mean...

Ok i've found the solution :
Just add "ServerTokens Prod" in httpd.conf

Now it just show "Server : Apache".
Hope this will help.

Also, is there any way you can use it without the ActiveX? I know I sound like an idiot (since its called nsvplayX) but I want everything browser-compatible, which ActiveX certainly is not (in only works on Windows IE). Plus I use Opera ;-)

Plug-in For Hosting ActiveX Controls

To complement the ActiveX control there is plug-in project that shares many of the same files. This allows browsers and environments that support the Netscape Plug-in Architecture to display ActiveX controls. These include:

Mozilla 1.x
Netscape Navigator 3.x
Netscape Communicator 4.x
Netscape 6.x, 7.x
Opera
QT Toolkit for Windows (via the QNPlugin NPAPI wrapper classes)
CodeWeavers CrossOver Plug-in
