is there any easy way to use an old skin like Barracuda in the latest Winamp?

Yes. The problem is not with the skin but with WinampHeritage.com. What you download from there is not a skin but an html file with a .wal extenstion.

Download Barracuda from WinCustomize, extract Barracuda.wal from Barracuda.zip and install Barracuda.wal.
