NSV and P2P finally became real thing

I'm just testing this new program called Goalbit (already found by sankt and listed on SCVI)
I'm glad to notice that it supports NSV relay from a Shoutcast Server.

If anyone is interested we can publish our results.
However it's a great news in my opinion.

I had a second look at the updated version and they have made some good improvements.

Three things that I noticed :

Lack of code for the tracking server.

Lack of information on the tracking server.

Lack of information on building the complete Linux package.
( There is a make file, but thats for VLC. )

Any info on the central tracker, or is it a "peerless" system.

I have installed the software on my linux box and I like it a lot.

It's easy to use and one of the best open source P2P applications there is. It supports bittorrent style streaming, without having to jump through a lot of hoops.

I will be adding a software guide page to scvi.net soon.

It will support H.264 and AAC+ right out of the box. Another key feature is the Internal station directory.

The BitTorrent streaming / swarm streaming is far superior than the branch point to point relay methods used by previous open source peer to peer streaming software applications.

So what does this mean? Does it allow for streaming nsv to the PlayStation 3?

P2P is Peer to Peer content distribution.

P2P has nothing to do with the Play Station game console.
