Buffer Display for AAC Streams

It would be great if there was a way to turn off the buffer notice [Buffer: 0%]. This really isn't pertinent information, even for people with slow connections. Most people who know what a buffer is are already going to know why their song is skipping.

The problem with it is that when streaming AAC (I've not used others) the buffer constantly flickers on and off as it loads, making the title virtually unreadable in the Winamp playlist. At the very least, the buffer could be tagged on after the title information.

Thanks!

On the other hand, the buffer information can be very useful and informativ as well. At least in the songticker it always should be shown. It's helpful because so you can see, that Winamp is buffering the file.

An option to force the playlist editor to always show the title sounds like a valid request, but I'm not sure, if this request gets much attention from the devs, though.

Yeah, I figured there was probably someone that would want to see it, which is why I suggested it as something that could be turned off or appended to the end of the title.

Is there a more appropriate spot I should put in this request? Do the individual plug-ins have their own development forums?

Thanks for the reply.

that would add more handling on playlist items as the playing title is taken from the playlist entry in all cases.

the wishlist is the only real appropriate place for this sort of request though there's no guarantee anything will be done / looked at and personally i doubt it will be changed though you never know but i wouldn't get your hopes up.
