Hmm, now that you mention it I do. Is there a reason for this? Do you just like writing scripts (wanted to learn) or you like doing it your way? I only ask because I would imagine that certain things would run a little smoother if you were to just use that.

Also, this may be a bug sorta thing, but dragging the window around absolutely kills the processor and goes ohh so choppy. At first I though it was from desktop alpha, but it does it with it disabled too (and the big black blob stuck to the left side). Perhaps it's from the size the skin?

Bug - the P on your repeat on text is slightly cut off.

[later]Ohh, now I see how you did the tooltips! Very clever indeed.[/later]

yes i know about the dragging....the bubbles are becoming a major problem...the avs also skips with the bubbles on...im going to try animated layers for the bubbles again...but the fading animation will still be done in maki since evrything in the gallery fades...and it doesnt take much resources anyway(ill make a slider to set smoothness of the fadeout)

the big black blob is for regions with desktop alpha on.

things like the repeat cut off are scattered around the skin...im gonna fix them all later

cpu usage for the bubbles has gone from 100% to 50-60....i realized that i never cropped out the transparent pixels of all my pngs....

the thinger drawer now comes out smoothly...

when the skin is inactive it doesnt use any cpu unlike before...

keep in mind this is all according to winxp task manager...

dragging the player has also become smooth...

working on merging all layouts into one layout...this allows me to have smooth transitions on theme switching(also will prevent winamp from loading duplicate pngs for each layout)

now looks alot better for people without desktopalpha(but the side drawer doesnt appear since its transparent)

new d/l will be available as soon as i merge layouts...

also...is it possible to use wasabi:hslider for eq?
ive tried it but it dont work when i move the slider...

whats new?

-only two layouts...normal and shade...(each have 6 "sub-themes")
-grape and strawberry look good finally
-themes are changed on-the-fly(rather than hide and show)
-looks a little better without desktop alpha
-gallery is functional(missing some stuff tho)
-bubble drawers come out smoothly now
-floating bubbles now take less resources(i think)

bugs?

-the side drawer may disappear on some occasions
-clicking on the gallery buttons too fast may cause some disturbances
-havent fixed the volume yet
-floating bubbles and avs still dont mix well
-no vis yet
-shade themes still havent been worked on

ok i also need to know if the skin is too slow because of the fading..

if you only see a white theme on startup then change the theme(that could only happen the first time the skin loads...then it will save changes)

dont forget to tell me if something is too slow!!!!
oh...no moving water yet

smoooth animations when switching themes!
Love it!!!

bubbles now take up up to %50 cpu when not playing a file and about 55% when playing a file..
much better, still could use some improvements though, but you're on the right way..

could you throw in an option to enable/disable songticker ticking? cos it's very annoying when it's not moving and the text gets cutoff, also there's no way to drag it manually either, something's blocking it..

I like the detail of the side drawers bubble more, but it's too dark imo.. the first one was better looking overall, maybe you could make it a bit lighter?

not only clicking the gallery buttons too fast cause disturbances, clicking previous and then next again causes the same thing...

overall, nice update!!

and yes, it's worth the 3.8megs..
and it's caused by all the themes mostly..

no its just each pic is the size of the gallery window(im gonna crop out more pics today)

and for some reason the thumbnails in the theme window take up more space then the actual themes.....

im also taking theme requests...

grape is my fav so far, love it..
maybe you should make a greenish theme (not too gree, but like sea-grass or corals or something), it's the sea after all..
and maybe a sand-stone colored theme?

hope you're going to pngcrush the images

tip: download the skin and open up the gfx for the themes and start editing...
then post the finished gfx here and he can include it in the skin..

hmm.. i dunno about that, but ill see how that works out.

plague...did you want that sea-green in the same style as the grape theme?

i also finally figured out how to fade text like other parts of my skin...the songname fades in on play and fades out on stop..

that took me a while to figure out...but now i see why no one else has done that...

uuuuh, sexy..

looks great!
green fits better than I thought.

I didn't mean any special style at all, but that one looks great, maybe you can make more styles with green/blue too?

about the text fading...
I've actually never thought about it, never had any use of it or any other fade like yours..
but I have no doubt it's hard to do like you said..

ive created a customizable vis...

the pic shows a simple version that zooms the bg and rotates the text by reading the vu meters.
