Disable "Search in playlist"

Winamp injects a search bar into the playlist when I expand it past a certain vertical height. It's not wanted.

I saw a previous thread that referenced a post from 2018 for how to disable this. It does not appear to be a valid solution 3 years later.

Is there currently a way to disable the search bar in the playlist?

what is your winamp version?

and if you use 5.8 what happens when you do a clean install of 5.66 with bento skin and do the solution as provided in that old thread?

If Winamp 5.8 and Bento skin, then:

Options menu => Playlist => Uncheck "Show playlist search box"
