Hi,

nothing can ever be truly random on a PC (well apart from the crashes) and hence why that code is marked as 'psuedo-random' and by definition of random, you can have runs of the same thing multiple times, it's not until you get to an infinite number of plays that it should all balance but that's just not feasible so you have to get on with things as they are

Using a time seed is usually random enough for most purposes, though.

Never underestimate the bandwidth of a station wagon full of tapes hurtling down the highway.

why not just have your random generating algorithm use a command to take the last song played out of the list for X amount of plays of anything else?

I hate everyone, so you don't have to.
