I feel more alienated every time I see this type of shit. I used to consider myself a nerd, now I realise I was never a nerd, simply because I don't have that weird level of determination.

I've got a pocket knife that my dad gave to me years ago. It's entirely stainless steel. There is no plastic case around the outside of it. It's got four fold-out utensils. One is a blade, one is a leather punch, one is a bottle-opener / screwdriver, and the last one is a can-opener. It's tough as hell, way more so than any Swiss knife that I've ever seen... know what it says on the side?

U.S.

I've never had a better pocket knife in my life. I'll get a picture of it in a few minutes.

Well, I don't necessarily care where it's from as much as I care about the quality. This particular knife is one of the best quality knives I've ever had.

I have a small leatherman kit on my keychain. It has scissors, Bottle opener, flathead, phillips, tweezers, knife, nail file thing/poker thing and that's it. It's handy to have around when you need to tighten a screw or open a bottle. The scissors are used for almost everything from pickiing my teeth to clipping my toenails....

Afaik, Swiss army knives and watches are made in Switzerland. That's why they're called Swiss army knives and Swiss watches.

I think we've missed the point. How disturbing would it be to meet someone with RAM or a USB in thier pocket at all times?

No make it a variant of something fairly normal, keeping a minitool kit in your pocket.
Combine the two things, thereby justifying that someone out there needs to carry
a) a knife
b)a corkscrew
c)A Canvas Needle
When they also have a USB port and RAM a quarter inch away from these tools nobody who's buying a RAM laden pocketknife is ever going to use.

People are so stupid.

[edit: I know every time I repair my Computer I need a wood chisel, sewing needle, woodsaw, and of course, a toothpick.]

the reason i got the geektool is because i use it so damn much, it keeps me from having to carry my leather tool case around everywhere which is nice. it doesn't have EVERYTHING but it has 99% of the stuff i ever need on anyone else's systems or misc electronics.

but yeah, the knife on it sucks. they always have. if i need anything for heavy duty cutting that's what my good old american made classic fixed blade bad-ass KA-BAR is for, baby.... but where it's illegal to carry that i have a benchmade folder. benchmades are the best.

My father beats you ALL. I swear he's Batman in his later years. On his belt and pockets at all times he has:
1. At least 2 or 3 different Flash lights.
2. As many, but no less than 3 or 4 knives.
3. At least 2 lighters, but he doesn't smoke.
