WA 5.6 How do I manually add artwork?
I've read a couple of posts with similar questions to mine and they suggest copying an image from say Amazon and using the "Paste Artwork" button in WinAMP. I don't see any such button in 5.6.
Is there in fact any way to add artwork manually? Simple fact is a lot of my music is not going to be in many of the online databases being as it is very obscure. Thanks |

That can be done in the View File info box > Artwork tab
Right click on a song/item > select View File Info -or- Use the Alt+3 key combo |

Thanks for the quick response JonnyMac, that worked a treat.
BTW, if you also happen to be one of the developers of WinAMP...great piece of work, much, much better than anything else available, (I used to use WinAMP waaaay back, over 10 years ago I think, and have just come back after installing it on my Android phone). One further question I have is, can WinAMP be used as a replacement for iTunes to manage my iPod? or am I stuck with the rather flakey (imho) Apple software? Thanks again Andrew |

You're Welcome
I am not one of the developers. However they do look at the forums, so chances are at least one of them will see your positive comments. Thank You ![]() Winamp does have PMP support via the Media Library. Including iPod support...

Absolutely brilliant, I only ever used iTunes to manage my iPod in the first place, never used it for purchasing music as I prefer the old fashioned flat, square, plastic boxes with shiny discs in

Adding a little clarification to joebloggscity suggestion...
Winamp adds the album/cover art to the folder containing the album or media files. Mp3tag is a tag editor that will let you embed album/cover art to the media file (or files) it self. Winamp is capable of reading embed album/cover art tags. |
