flv files

I'm running WinAmp ver 5.52 on WinXP Pro. I have the plug in in_flv.dll in my plug in folder. When I double click a .flv file Winamp tries to play it but all I get is the audio - no video. Am I missing something please?

First update to Winamp 5.54, as there were updates in there. Also, Winamp doesn't support the h.264 video code used on places like YouTube, because that shit is expensive.

If you have h.264 codecs from another application, can Winamp use that?

The default in_flv included with Winamp 5.54 only supports vp6 content

There's an extra f263.w5s decoder to complement in_flv included in the Essentials Pack which provides support for h.263 content (most of youtube videos still use h.263).
See towards the end of the first post in the "Winamp 5.xx Released" sticky thread at the top of the Winamp Discussion forum for the link to the latest version of the Essentials Pack.

For all of vp6, h.263 & h.264 support, see here:
