cool, considering the issues with some other projects of late it's good to know that at least this one is working well. i have to say i was quite surprised at how easy it was to add it in without it affecting the dll size. one request down, a few more to go and then it's 2.0 final time, yipee

i'm still looking into how best to re-arrange the prefs for that since there's too much to fit on just the one page especially with the two new options going in at the moment

Time Restore & Autoplay v2.0 beta 4
  • Added in the ability for the playback state and optionally the current winamp playlist &/or settings on a 1 second to 30 minutes (1800 second) timed interval
get v2.0 beta 4

One for the radio streamers with the playback state and playlist &/or settings saving on a timer (1 second upto 30mins between saves should be more than enough )

I have encountered a problem with a skin wich is related to your plugin I think.
Because as soon as I use the trap plugin a few of it's functions (timer, animated seeker, custom vis, ....) don't work anymore. But when I switch to another skin and then back again all works well.
The only skin I have encountered this with is the stargate modern skin (wich was just released after almost 2 years of dev).
All my other skins don't seem to be affected.

And I'm using version 1.85 of trap.

Time Restore & Autoplay v2.0 rc1
  • Fixed issues with the preferences not being saved if open on Winamp close
  • Fixed the save playback state option not being correctly saved
  • Preferences moved over to an integrated page (or separate dialog on pre 5.x installs) and adjusted the layout accordingly to reflect changes/information required
  • Updated language file to v1.5 - covers all strings now again
  • Miscellaneous updates/common code upgrades to match better with other plugin updates
  • Anything else to trivial to remember/comment about
get v2.0 rc1

Hopefully there's no issues introduced with this new build and the change for the preferences works (seems a bit easier now with the extra space available as an in integrated page for translations).

Time Restore & Autoplay v2.0
  • Made a potential fix/change for the entry in the preferences list not changing when the language is changed on Win9x installs (will need to properly fix my common code for this at some stage...)
  • Otherwise recompiled as 2.0 (a final at last, yipee!)
get v2.0

The prefs issue seems to be a Win9x api limitation or something along that lines but involves a few other plugins (at least JTFE) to have the common prefs code in them modded to work better when a number of plugins are using the same code. For the moment just closing and re-opening the preferences will correctly display the text. Otherwise nothing has changed from the RC1 build. Enjoy!

DrO, I've one minor request. Can you make the the 2 checkboxes (screenshoot, number 1) make look like (screenshoot, number 2). I needed a few minutes to check, that you can uncheck these boxes the same way like standard checkboxes.

Time Restore & Autoplay v2.01
  • Fixed an issue where hitting the escape key when using the preferences would cause them to disappear incorrectly
  • Adjusted slightly the handling of the settings saving timer (it will still cause a cpu spike when Winamp is saving the playlist [if enabled] )
  • Made a minor adjustment to the preferences implementation for checkboxes instead of radiobuttons for some of the options
get v2.01

Koopa: hopefully this build has what you meant with the prefs

Okay, just tried this latest version.

Quote:
With the TRAP issue, does it also happen with older versions and what happens if the delay loading option is enabled (best to continue this in the plugin's thread though there are cases where some files will fail to restore their position since the api i call isn't able to be adhere'd to)
I didn't used to play .wma files in WinAMP, so cannot recall ever experiencing issues with TRAP.

MP3 and OGG files resume correctly, yet WMA will always play from the beginning. The 'delay loading option' has no effect.

Cheers,
James

Nice, a final version

I noticed the Dutch translation isn't complete. I don't know who made the translation originally and if he/she is still willing to update it, but if you want I could have a look at it some time.

Good Winamp plugins by Joonas, DrO and shaneh.
If you're bored go here or, if the boredom is more serious, here.

Thanks for that, i've rebuilt the installer with that and the spanish translation i received whilst i was asleep last night

I've noticed that there was a typo in the example file on my end for [prefs] line #6 where it has \"filename\" which should have been "filename" so i've edited that in all of the v1.5 language files i've had (and the example file is now updated accordingly, oops)

Hi, DrO!
I attach newer/updated version for Russian lang.

May be you add support in trap_lang file for strings "Autoplay Options", "Extra Options" & for "?"window (near string_26 position) in next build?

er, you're missing out the whole of the [prefs] section from your translated file which is where all of the bits you asked about are dealt with.

Time Restore & Autoplay v2.02
  • Corrected the preference handling code to not incorrectly display a [+] next to the 'Autoplay Options' entry when using one of the new Lite-n builds options for the preference's tree
get v2.02

One of the downsides of common code, heh

Bulgarian translation (v1.5) for TRAP v2.02

HI DrO,

I've updated the bulgarian translation for TRAP. The .ini file is in a RAR archive and it's attached.
BTW: About the preferences integration - it's very good, but ... there's a little bug. Try to cycle between the elements in Winamp's Preferences window using the TAB key while "Autoplay Options" is selected in the left tree. The only elements which are reachable are the tree on the left, the "Close" button and the 2 tabs of TRAP's preferences. There's no way to get to the settings of TRAP it self by using the TAB key. If I click with the mous on one of the options (that way it gets selected), I can cycle between the TRAP' settings. Can you please fix this (if it is possible of course). There was such an issue with JTFE's preferences, but you fixed it - so I think this one can be fixed too.

Best wishes!

Thanks DrO! And ... I was just about to report a bug: the time wasn't restored after restarting Winamp. Then (while TAB-ing in TRAP's preferences) I realized that the "Restore playing position..." was turned off (I forgot to turn it on after installation) - how silly of me :-). Anyway the TAB-ing function is working perfectly now - THANK YOU!

hehe, i've done that a few times as well myself so i know what it's like glad the tab issue is fixed now since that was a simple style change on the dialogs (i just should have made sure on the changing of the preferences that it had matched the jtfe implementation since that's the base all of the code/dialogs are generally base on). well at least it's working now

Btw, the tab order is mixed in some of Winamp's preference pages too.

Then you can do it with Playlist File Remover too, right?

yeah, i've been trying to update that one to better use the unicode apis (though 5.25+ breaks some of the deletion overrdie options that i'm still looking into seeing if there's anything i can do about it...) and i can do the dialog thing at the same time (damn you unicows damn you )
