Buffer problems

I probably use Winamp differently than other people.
Before I leave the house for a while, I will often plug in my DAT player and hook to a "channel" that I really like on Winamp and actually record music for 2 or 3 hours so that I can have something to listen to while walking the dogs.
My problem is that sometimes the station may "drop" for a few seconds and there are many times when I come back and find it "stalled" at Buffer 0% and it hasn't restarted. I have to click the site to get it to restart, and then I just restart my DAT machine from the beginning to try to record another 2 or 3 hours from that "station."

Is there any way other than manually having to doubleclick to make it just restart?? I have 2 or 3 different websites that I enjoy recording from.

I haven't been able to get them to even play with Real Player, so I presume they are strictly on Winamp. I LIKE winamp and would love it to restart and continue recording....a 10-15 second gap in music is fine....I'm just wanting something to listen to while walking the dogs.
Thanks for any help/advice!
