Winamp Browser
All i gotta say is that it is very annoying when i use the winamp browser.
Every time i click a link the page gets hijacked by "http://search.aol.com/aol/afe?" This renders the whole reason of having a browser completely pointless. I have looked into it and come up with 2 references in the Winamp install folder. 1. C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins\freeform\xml\wasabi\xml\xui\browser\browser.m 2. C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins\freeform\xml\wasabi\xml\xui\browser\browser.maki I have tried editing out the offending lines but to no avail. I would appreciate any comments or hopefully solution. RSVP. |

You can replace the browser with this:
http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?t=349446 ClassicPro© v2.01 : This plugin allows you to use cPro skins in Winamp. ClassicPro skins are all SUI skins and loads very quickly. ClassicPro skins is even easier to skin than Winamp Classic skins. A new layout have been added since version 2. |

Hi pjn123,
I assume the Winamp Reader can be used by other modern skins or is it only for the Bento skins? The reading mode toggle is a useful feature. I mostly use cPro skins, are there plans to add it to the BrowserPro widget? Was development of version 2 of BrowserPro dropped in favor of the Winamp Reader? Excellent replacement I'm totally amazed and impressed!
Thank you. ![]() On other matters AVS I hope Justin returns to the mix sometime. I'm sure improvements can be made to the AVS studio? |

there has been an attempt by Justin to make updates (aka the mess that is 2.91/2.92 that he and i had attempted to release unknowingly on the same day), but no one in the AVS community really cares about the changes, it's not completely stable on newer OSes and presets are broken when using it. and there's not forgetting that it doesn't do full screen properly on any OS after XP. officially no one cares about AVS, and with it being so picky on newer OSes, it's never going to be 'current' and is why it hasn't been the default vis plug-in for ~6years.

I have tried the reader and was then led to the Pro skins.
They are much better. I have proceeded to edit various entries in the BrowserPro....> "C:\Program Files\Winamp\Plugins\ClassicPro\engine\xui\CentroSUI\_v2\Reader\source\_en-us.xml" and get rid of useless entries. This process could be automated and hopefully will in the future!!! However I am still infuriated with the incessant "search.aol.com" Hijacks Whoever codes freeform and winamp should do something about it. Thank You for Reading :| |

@LlamaAssKicker - Pleasure - Glad someone else find it useful too
![]() @Aminifu - Still want to introduce it in cpro1 skins. Must just find a good way to do it with just using the current cpro1 skin gfx.
