I just upgraded my FreeBSD 3.4-R to 4-STABLE-20010214 and got 100% CPU usage of shoutcast-1-8-0-freebsd4-elf. So, I tried shoutcast-1-8-0-freebsd3-elf and it's working fine.

Best regards, Yura Scheglyuk.

Same thing here, running FBSD 4.2-Release and using the version 1.8.0 freebsd4-elf version.

It seems to dip down when I stream, ie: the more it does, the lower the cpu goes. If it's completely idle, it hits about 98%.

Odd indeed, it shouldn't do that

Perhaps I'll try the Linux version under emulation. FreeBSD usually gets the stepchild treatment on ports of Linux software anyhow, so often times the non-native ports work better.
