AVI file sound & video not in sync

I've downloaded the game trailer for Sea Dogs II. When using WinAmp3 on this file, the audio track completes long before the video has ended. Is there a setting that can fix this?

Cheers,
Tony.

Have you tried this on any other player on your computer to make sure that the trailer itself is not at fault? If this is not the case, upgrade your system codecs, including the latest DivX codec.

Like my photography? Buy some here....

I have the DivX player with the lastest DivX codecs and it manages to do an excellent job synchronising the video with the audio. Both RealPlayer and Windows MediaPlayer are useless... I get to see only several frames before the trailer ends, but the DivX player and codecs are great. The unusual thing about WinAmp3 is that it appears to render EVERY frame with no regard for the audio track unlike all the other players, so on slower machines like mine the video soon lags way behind the audio.

I just thought there might have been a setting to fix that.

Cheers,
Tony.
