Everything works but Second Life stream
Any Secondlife-Shoutcast experts?
Secondlife issues with URL Pulling my hair out I broadcast. http://74.53.160.74:8000 Can hear it in Winamp Shows up in Shoutcast station search But when I plug the URL into audio link in Second Life, nothing. I get the play/pause options. And if I change parcels to working audio, I can hear it, but change back to parcel and no stream from the above address. Have triple checked and just can't figure it out By all rights, it should be pulling that stream into SL and playing as it works everywhere else outside of SL and picking up other SL streams. Using my own commercial server (leased server farm) Linux |

really have no idea about the SL issue (never having used it so not sure what you can do with SL->SC streaming). only thing i can say is that you probably want to install the newer v2 build of the DNAS as the version you're running can be made to crash when certain Winamp clients connecting to it.

yeah, the download page is a bit behind what is actually offered (should be build 14 at the time of this post) - am hoping it will be updated when the next version rolls out (in a few days *fingers crossed* )
as for the issue, you lost me at the talk about parcels. maybe there's something in the server logs to indicate what is or isn't going on with the connection attempt. other than that i'm somewhat clueless without having the means to try it out. -daz |

I can broadcast
Can hear it in Winamp on different computers Just when I blug the URL into Second Life, no sound. But when I change to other URLs, I hear it. Swear I'm typing it correctly lol. So why I'm stumped. Should be no reason not to just pull this URL in |

I remember looking into this for someone quite a while back.
IIRC Secondlife is limited in what streams it recognizes. Check AAC is supported. [edit]I get no sound in Winamp. Check mime type perhaps? UJ |

just finally tried it in my main Winamp install (would normally use 5.54 whilst i was doing what i was but that'll crash the DNAS) and get no audio. is like the source is set to the wrong mode - possibly using the Source DSP?
