Title update rejected - value not allowed...
....appears in the log from time to time. Is there any list of invalid chars to avoid in track titles?
one specific example: code: maybe the apostrophe? the commas? the square brackets? dnas v2.5.1 /* v2 HTML5 / Player test pages DigitalMixNYC, DigitalMixNYCbx | DNAS Status: Now Playing js codes (scaststatus_X.php) | PortForward.com | Upload/Download Speed Test | No-IP.com: Free Dynamic DNS | In the YP | dnasDir */ |

okay, i guess no one wants to take this one on, so --- some hacking (cause that's what i do) -- titles like the above are rejected because they start with an open paren "(" -- why? i have no idea.
found this by changing the artist in the id tag of an upcoming track to (artist) --- simple as that. add:some tl;dr ... the dnas server is private (it recieves the winamp source and relays to public dnas servers), so the rejection has nothing to do with the yp... the rejection prevents the bad track info from appearing in the song history as well. the server, continues to provide the previous track metadata (both on the html pages and in the in-stream info). fyi. just think how you can use this ![]() /* v2 HTML5 / Player test pages DigitalMixNYC, DigitalMixNYCbx | DNAS Status: Now Playing js codes (scaststatus_X.php) | PortForward.com | Upload/Download Speed Test | No-IP.com: Free Dynamic DNS | In the YP | dnasDir */ |
