Winamp is giving me terrible errors.

Alright well I've been getting lots of errors of late when it comes to viewing file information.

For most songs when I right click & "view file info" it works perfectly (I'd say 99.9% of songs work well). For that other 0.01 per cent.. it gives me an error (Winamp has stopped working), and crashes completely.

Note that I can in fact right click and "edit metadata", which works perfectly. I just can't "view file info" - which is the only option available in playlists.

Can you 1) help out with this issue?

2) add the option to edit metadata within playlists (rather than having to go to the library)?

Are you using Winamp 5.666 plus the additional update patches?

The metadata editor for the playlist was added in 5.666

A link to a zipped file which makes Winamp crash might also be useful...
Are they all mp3 files? Do the same files always crash, or is it at random?

I apologize for not mentioning it, but yes - I'm using 5.666, build 3516.

I have many different filetypes in both my library and playlists, but the error I'm getting seems to be on (only some) mp3 files. The same files always crash (in this case mp3s).

I have attached the winamp info log as instructed.

re-download and then re-run the Winamp installer from the links above (preferably the patched one from the .co.uk link) as your install does not have the patched plug-ins needed and so is the most likely cause of the issues you're reporting.
