by the way, while watching the Earth+Mars preset i thought of "red planet and blue planet" and then just like a flash there was your "red and blue" preset on my mind, then i looked in your folder and i saw there was already a remix i did with it - but here's another torus remix

thats really cool

i love the shades of color that torus template makes, and the angled/curved shapes as well

changing the coordinates with the various levels looks pretty cool too

do you have any code that makes a nice glow for the custom waves?

try something like this:

// enhancing the red channel
col = GetBlur2(your_uv).x + (GetPixel(your_uv) - GetBlur1(your_uv)).x;

the other option for a really cool edge-glow effect needs looks like this

float2 d = texsize.zw*4;
float3 dx = GetBlur1(your_uv + float2(1,0)*d) + GetBlur1(your_uv + float2(-1,0)*d);
float3 dy = GetBlur1(your_uv + float2(0,1)*d) + GetBlur1(your_uv + float2(0,-1)*d);

float edge_glow = length(float2(dx.x,dy.x));

both of them are just from memory and they need some tweaking anyway - have fun

warning this one is hungry for shader operations:
4 physically correct distortions of half spherical glass lenses + 4 differently colored light sources = 499 composite shader ops

73 fps here, but you will surely need a decent graphics card

i found that my last preset pack is just going under in the silly mash-up thread. so here it is again

it features 64 different mostly reaction-diffusion warp shaders.
@martin: your warp shader did not make it into this feature pack. take it as a compliment - you're playing in a higher league
