Change Dir Of Songs But Have Playlist Stay In Same Order?
Hi,
I want to change the location of all my songs but I want my playlist to have all the songs in the order they are in now. Is there a way to do this? Thanks, Wolfy Last edited by Savages_Wolf; 22nd January 2005 at 05:52. |

Give me a week or so (maybe less), and I'll have a plugin that does this

This is kinda odd, I didnt need to change anything...
For some reason the playlist only had a /Mp3's/ as a dir so I just moved the mp3 folder where I wanted it and put the playlist file in where the mp3 folder was and it worked. Humm, why was it like that? Anyway that was kinda nice hehe ![]() Wolfy |

Well, I finished it earlier than planned.
Although, I don't know if I'd use this if all you are doing is changing a drive or root directory - I'd use the "edit all files" as mentioned in the other posts. http://forums.winamp.com/showthread....hreadid=205642 - Reed |

Well you know, I may even wanna change it yet again in a way that I would have to edit it. I think it might even be wise to just put the dang playlist save file in the same dir as the songs, that way its all in the same spot and you can rename the folder all your songs are in etc if you want. I donno, its fine the way it is now I guess. Might be nice if winamp had a feature to add like a file for track list and then you specify where the files are at, but then again just 1 playlist file is also nice...

You could always load the playlist file into a text editor (like Notepad) and do a Search and Replace All function on it. Replace all occurances of the old path with the new path.

Import all your playlists in Foobar. Then use the masstagger for renaming files or changing their places. The playlists are corrected automatically. And then reimport the M3Us in WA.
