winamp security plugin.

much better a buildin.

my question: is there a plugin or an hidden option in winamp that will allow me to "lock" winamp for anyone who dosnt know the main password?(which as the owner, il choose.)

i'm tired my little kids messing with it, screwin up my list and settings etc', while chat with others in icq.(and yes iv'e created a backuplist.)+(i'm an admin, and i tried to limit the winamp.exe, but it can easly disabled when i'm loggin as admin.)

i have a dream!
a dream so simple, i think to take a TM on it.

can anyone offer me something sweet?

many thanks.

dj egg, thanks alot.

but!

its useles, ffs its lame plugin.

iv'e downloaded installed etc'.

clicked on winamp, and there it was, something asked me to put a password or winamp wont work.
i pressed cancel, winamp died.
restarted winamp, and again the password box jumped, damn i was so happy!

than i said, let's see what happen if i press play, i did and than... my joy died.
i can play, stop, add, delete songs from the list, i can even enter options settings and remove the plugin. while it asking me to type the main password!.

thanks again dj egg.

Easy on DJ Egg MeirOn! He was just trying to help.
And I know his free advice has helped me out on more than a few occasions.

You are right about WinamPassword though!!! That plugin simply does not work as intended/advertised. What good is password protection you can ignore and/or right click around!?

I think a Party Setting, would meet your needs. Sadly, no plugin for such a setting yet exists. Follow the link and keep your fingers crossed. Maybe someone will make a party mode plugin soon.
