Where did AAC go?

I "upgraded" my Shoutcast and now the only encoding option is MP3.......no more AAC. Is this a bad download or is AAC no longer available on the free version?

you need to "upgrade" your shoutcast DSP as well - winamp changed it's aacplus encoder in version 5.62

or get enc_aacplus.dll from vers 5.61 (or earlier) of winamp

So I did

Winamp 5.623 and Source DSP 2.2.3 are the only supported versions at the time of reply (re-using the AAC encoder from an older Winamp version is also not advocated and is likely to not work / cause more issues anyway).

though the original post is pretty vague on what is actually meant so could be something else going wrong.
