How can I display BPM for my tracks in winamp?

I'd like to display the BPM for track currently in winamp! Maybe near the Time/Title in the top/left...

Is it possible? Or I need to use a 3rd part plugins and have it in a different windows? (as a "popup") ?

Thanks

If the BPM is in the tag/metadata, it can be displayed in the title...
  1. Winamp > Ctrl+P (for Preferences)
  2. General Preferences > Titles
  3. in the 'Advanced Title Formatting' box, replace the display format string with the following...
    [%artist% - ]$if2(%title%,$filepart(%filename%))[ - %bpm%]
  4. close out of Prefs
  5. if asked click Yes to 'Refresh play list titles'

If BPM is not in the tag data, there are couple plug-ins (<--- link) that can calculate then display BPM in a window. However, I have not tried the plug-ins in a long time, so I don't know if they are compatible with the newer versions of Winamp.

Thanks you for the fast and detailed reply!
What I'm looking for is what you have write, but I'd like to get this count automatically, without open a plugins/calculate it/write in the tag.

I need to surrender than?

Either BPM in needs to be in a tag data or Winamp needs a plug-in. There are programs that can detect BPM and place it in the tag data, then you can use the title suggestion. However, if you have a lot of files that might be a lengthy process (batch or not). Not having used BPM detector program, I don't have any suggestions.

Anyone else who knows of a good BPM detector or has another idea?

I just used "MixMeister BPM Analyzer" to update my MP3 collection with BPM. Free download, available in PC & MAC (saw it mentioned on lifehacker). HTH.
