Winamp. What does it stand for?

I just found out what Winamp stands for by chance browsing the net. And I'm surprised that all these yrs I thought it stood for Windows Amplifier which is wrong.

Cheers, Pete

so is it ...
Windows Amplifier
Windows Audio MPEG Player
Windows Advanced Media Player
Windows Advanced Multimedia Products

Wiki says this..

Winamp was first released in 1997, when Justin Frankel and Dmitry Boldyrev,[5][6][7] formerly students at the University of Utah, integrated their Windows user interface with the Advanced Multimedia Products "AMP" MP3 file playback engine.[42] The name Winamp (originally spelled WinAMP) was a portmanteau of "Windows" and "AMP".[43] The minimalist WinAMP 0.20a was released as freeware on April 21, 1997.[44][45] Its windowless menubar-only interface showed only play (open), stop, pause, and unpause functions. A file specified on the command line or dropped onto its icon would be played. MP3 decoding was performed by the AMP decoding engine developed by Advanced Multimedia Products co-founder Tomislav Uzelac, which was free for non-commercial use.[46]

well I have gone right to the top for a definitive answer on this...lol
Who knows if I will get a reply...

Dear Justin!

I am graciously bowing in your presence. 
Thank you forever for Winamp.

We are trying to find out the correct original meaning for the name Winamp.
Nobody is certain and hoping you can help.
This is what we have so far..

According to Wiki:
So the short answer is Windows Advanced Multimedia Products.
But it also goes by other names..
Windows Amplifier
Windows Audio MPEG Player
Windows Advanced Media Player

So my question to you is..
What was the original meaning or abbreviation of Winamp?
