Viewing without Winamp
Hi there,
is it possible to use a web-based player like flash-player so that viewers don't need winamp? Just watch a live-stream on a website? Kai |

Something I've been meaning to try is the videolan mozilla control. It should theoretically play just about anything including NSV. I know you can play windows media with it.
You'll find instructions for the control in videolans docs. This might be an alternative for firefox to Ravas control. Another piece of software you should take a look at is Mozilla MediaPlayerConnectivity (google that as one word) plugin. It takes embedded media and launches it in the external player of your choice. |

Unfortunately I found VideoLAN Mozilla control is VERY limited because you must have VideoLAN installed for it to work. I thought it would be an all-in-one solution too, but if you're making all your users download/install software anyway... what's the point of an embedded control?

On the official website Rava broadcast video with vp62 aacp and there is a link there "Click to install plugin for Firefox 1.5 browsers." but is not sctive.I believe this plugin exists and I asked Rava to give it to me. Still no response, I'll wait becouse is worth, in my opinion is the best web player ;-)

The Mozilla / Firefox plugin does not work in the latest version of the Firefox browser.
You can still download that plugin here : www.nullsoft.com/nsv/embed/nsvmoz_vp3_mp3.xpi Scenic Television is your ambient window to the world - - www.ScenicTelevision.com |

Look I'm here on this forum since 2004, I'm not anymore a noob or smth...what "stupid code tags" did I use? I can ashure you that I've never access this forum with "www".
On the other hand, there is too bad because it not exists some player (web player) wich can play vp6/aac with ANY BROWSER. There are many methods to broadcast over the internet....and btw the classical one with windows media encoder (mms://...) has a satisfactory quality very close to nsv at the same size and bitrate. You should consider theese things, because Rava player which is only one player who playe vp62/aacp is the only one and works ONLY with Internet Explorer. Onestly If exists be some posibility to mount a nsv stream into a swf would be outstanding...but as far as I know there isn't. The conlcusion is that nsv format is almost dead and I should consider some other posibilityes to stream video over the internet. Have a nice day! |

dude you are over-exagerating things . I am sure inedible bulk didn't mean anything offencive. Also , nsv is growing very fast . it is in no way dead . And it is a free service , why are you complaining? to tell yo uthe truth , no one will care if you stay with nsv or not .

I appologise, I was exagerating, I'm sorry
![]() I've found today a firefox extension wich allows to open an IE7 tab inside the firefox, so I don't need an firefox plugin anymore becasuse is working fine. https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1419 Unfortunatelly for couple of month I'm experiencing another problem....I give people my web page with rava player stream in it and the activeX plugin refuze to install in Internet Explorer because "unknow publisher" or something like that :|/..I don't remember exactly the error message, sorry. In IE6/Internet options/privacy give accept all cookies and after that ampx_en_dl.cab can be installed, but this little trick didn't work in IE7. Do you know some method to get rid of this problem? Thanks in advance and once again pls accept my appologies :| |
