Copying playlist to flash drive

Hi all,

I suspect there is a way, but I can't find it.

In WMP, I can send a playlist to a "sync list", which I can then sync to an external device, in my case a USB flash drive. I can then use the flash drive in my car, with my car stereo (the head unit has a USB connect).

I can't find similar functionality in WinAmp, either to copy a playlist directly to an external device, or to create a sync list.

The USB flash drive does not show up in the devices available to WinAmp (but they do in WMP).

Advice?

Ron

In other words, you want to copy the audio files in the playlist to the drive? That is not a native function of Winamp, however there are a number of different plug-ins that can do that...

gen_yar (DrO's update)
-or-
File Copier
-or-
Drag 'n Drop from Playlist Editor
-or-
Send To plugin
-or-
Save playlist in order to mp3 player
-or-
Playlist-Unpacker

Yes, that is what I want to do. I will try plugins.

Since it is one of the very visible native functions of WMP, I'm a little surprised that it's not directly supported. Not that this will make me go back to WMP, but maybe for this function.

Well, the Portables section of the Media Library, lets you sync to USB drives. However, that is not something that I have used.
