I don't like the idea of "final" software anyway; I mean, I've never seen a piece of software that couldn't be improved upon in *some* way...and we digress...

yeah that's true. oh well development is back on for this plugin. to be added is:

• langauge file support (based on the JTFE code)
• autostart winamp when windows starts
• restore stopped state (like the paused option)

Time Restore & Autoplay v1.7 RC

• Start winamp when windows starts option
• Stop state restore option if stopped on exit
• Adds langauge file support

and so a RC release - got to keep you lot happy with my versioning system

fingers crossed there aren't any problems and a full release will go out tomorrow. there's an example language file included (straight forward as normal working from the top of the dialog to the bottom)

Just one question: what does that trap_happy.ini file do?

that's the example language file. it needs to go in plugins\trap for the plugin to detect it if you want to have any language other than english.

ok. it was a pain to do, but here is a german translation, that suffers even more from the troubles as my JTFE translation:
There is too little space to make a proper translation, so I (again) had to skip some parts and the remaining parts are certainly not the best german that can be found (I had to stay short and to use expressions like "Auto-Start" that are certainly not German).

But all in all, I think that it makes sense and is understandable, and that's what counts, isn't it.

amano: how much extra width on the dialog is needed to help with the dialog? i can increase the size a bit more to help

It's hard to tell. I think +25% would do the job much better. But it is understandable as it is now, I think.

i'll increase the button widths since 'close' is a bit tight (and there's space to do it). if need be people can resourcehacker it (which i'm happy with that happening) to get the extra width if needed.

will upload the final 1.7 version in a bit.

Hard to believe I started this thread back on September 19th of last year.

I'm still using the old version 1.4a plug-in you gave be back then Dr.O, I'll be visiting back later to pick up the final 1.7 plug-in. The old one still works great though. You've only picke dup a few more posts than I have since then. hehe

While I'm here, I might as well add my two cents.

Alltaken said on the prior page that he had a problem with Winamp playing a half second of the beginning of a file before it snaps to the proper position in the song. I have been having the same problem with my old 1.4 build ever since I upgraded to Winamp5, it never did it in Winamp2. I don't know if this is anything you want to deal with Dr.O.

hiya Electron2002, been a long time

it's a weird issue since i was getting it for a while and then i did a clean install and that fixed it. it seems to be related to the order that the plugins are loaded i think but i can't seem to reproduce it now.

I actually just noticed a little bug in my version (though its probably already been discussed and fixed). If Winamp is NOT in the shuffle mode, it will not remember which song it needs to start playing. It will go to the proper time position, e.g. two minutes forty seconds into the song. But it will always play whichever song is at the top of the list. I pretty much always leave winamp set to shuffle so this is the first time I've noticed it.

Electron2002: i think that was fully fixed in the early 1.6x code changes (well it restores the exact track this end whatever the mode now )

I've installed it and all is well. Before installing 1.7 I removed 1.4a and reinstalled 1.4a and the problem with the half second pause cleared up. It would appear that it was related to the order that the plug-ins loaded in. But now Electron Edition is in full effect and everythign is polished and wonderful.

yes it is the order of plugin loading, i managed to reproduce it and then another remove and install it worked fine, very strange that i'll make a note of it on the website.

I noticed there seems to be some jumbling of words or soemthign on the plug-in's window. Shown in the attached imagine. Did anyone else get this? Its under the "select randon file to play at startup" option.

I think we can all agree this functionality is wonderful and that Nullsoft should have put it into the product in the first place. But hey if they had thought of everything there wouldn't be any need for plug-ins now would there?

Electron2002: my fault, i altered the way that part is done to split the string and i forgot to remove the old second line for the top control (fixed now).
