"Click" User Counter
I'm not sure i'm if i'm posting this in the correct section but i'll looking for some help with regards to a user counter device that keeps track of each listener when someone clicks "play" for a live stream.
I've looked around and i've seen some sites that read: 56/100 listeners with a horizontal bar graph. here's one example: http://www.cerritosallstars.com/ Are these plugins? Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks |

You're asking about two different things:
56/100 listeners (CurrentListeners/MaxListeners) is a DNAS real-time "stat" -- this is usually read via a script from either from the DNAS /index.html or /7.html -- that script can represent the output in any way the programmer decides or can code... "Whenever someone clicks play" is a listen event -- This is found in the DNAS server's XML stats via /admin.cgi [password required] as total listen events, it is a running count since the DNAS server was started, and can also be retrieved by a script. All of the scripts are third-party custom, some are publicly available, most require you do some coding to make them do what you want. Most use PHP, but perl, vbscript, and asp can do it too. /* v2 HTML5 / Player test pages DigitalMixNYC, DigitalMixNYCbx | DNAS Status: Now Playing js codes (scaststatus_X.php) | PortForward.com | Upload/Download Speed Test | No-IP.com: Free Dynamic DNS | In the YP | dnasDir */ |

Thanks for the help. You'll have to bare with me...my technical understanding is a little weak. I'm wondering where i could find these 3rd party scripts? My partner is the programmer and would be able to edit the required code.
Thanks again. |
