Merge same station SHOUTcast streams on Yellowpages

Hi crew,

Writing from "Ibiza Sonica" Radio Station Technical Dept.

I need some help with our SHOUTcast streams,
we have 3 SHOUTcast servers with same station name ":IbizaSonica:"
but they don´t appear as unique station on Yellowpages search.

I have spoken with our streaming provider and have told us

i'm not entirely sure where you've been looking but http://www.shoutcast.com/Internet-Radio/IbizaSonica clearly gives me 3 different listings which match with the details you've posted. also when i just looked for 'IbizaSonica' in the Winamp SHOUTcast Radio view, that also returned 3 separate results.

so based on that search result, i don't believe there's anything which needs to be done to the listings. or are you entering something else for the search e.g. the name plus the unnecessary punctuation around it?

Regarding on streams, what I was really wanting to explain (sorry for my english)
is that are appearing well on Yellowpages but not merged in only one station with
added listeners and appearing as one main and two backups in tunein-station.pls.
A lot of stations on Yellowpages are working as I asking for, can we?

right, so you're wanting the opposite of what was said in the first post.

89.238.146.142 cannot be merged since it's AAC+ and the other two are MP3.

the two MP3 streams should be automatically merging as the details look to be the same (when looking at the DNAS's but no idea about what's being held in the YP database).

will have to have a look / adjust things. though the best way to force a stream to be listed (when it's allowed) is to use a v2 DNAS (though i've feeling that's not going to be a viable option if you're using a hosted setup).

For sure, as we´re on hosted server were on your hands with this issue

I hope we´ll update to DNAS v2 soon and will work so much better but meanwhile
we need your help.

i've attempted a force merge of the two MP3 listing so http://yp.shoutcast.com/sbin/tunein-...pls?id=2289178 should now have both of the MP3 streams in it and the site and apps should see that change within 30mins of this reply (if it all worked as we've got some other work being done on the API which might cause it not to work in all cases).

Hi crew,

Everything is working fine with our shoutcast streams, but we have migrated
servers to a new data center and we are with same issue now.

Could you update our YP data again for merge them again?

Regarding on it, we use "A record" URL to solve this server change issues on players,
is any possibility to use them on YP?

have merged the 2 MP3 streams to be on stationid -> 1878 and have manually edited the listing details to use the dns instead of the raw IP (is due to how most of the system works in that it's basically defaults to the raw IP since that is what the YP knows and has confirmed as working instead of the dns name though things may eventually change to allow for dns name to be used if it's determined to be valid though this will most likely require using the 'destip' configuration option and / or possible DNAS & YP updates).

looks like it's not going to hold onto the dns name as the v1 DNAS when it's doing it's touch update is causing it to be reverted to what the DNAS is sending and looks like the manual merge has failed as i'm seeing multilple listings again.

as such i would suggest trying to see if setting destip=stream.estudiosonico.com:xxxx in your config file to see if that will help with the dns setting option (though if it's not working with the v1 DNAS then there's not much that can / will be done to fix it).

i've attempted a re-merge again but if that doesn't hold then there isn't anything else i can do and would highly suggest moving to the v2 DNAS when the next update is released as that will allow you to control the merging instead of letting the v1 handling attempt to do it. also i believe one of the issues for it not merging correctly is due to the now playing not being the same.

finally last month we lost again merging of our 2 MP3 streams on yp.
