How can i play a track at a special time via transcoder?

I’m using the shoutcast-server and the shoutcast-transcoder on a dedicated root-server. Everything works fine, I can stream via the DSP-Plug-In, an I can play a playlist of tracks, which are on the root-server.

Now I’m watching for an option or script, which plays tracks at a special time.
For example:
The usual playlist is playing by the transcoder. All Tracks are in one folder. There is another folder, where are some other tracks or maybe one track. For example at 5 o’clock the server should stop playing the usual playlist, and start playing the track in the other folder. After playing this track, the server should play the usual playlist again. And everything should be automatic.

Hello,
Two options :
1/ do it via scripting (Stewie Radio Automation for example)
2/ do it via cron jobs :
Like this :
- you will need three playlists : one for the songs as a template, one for the special track as a template and one for the file sc_trans will read
- at the special time, your cron job copies one of the templates to the playlist file that sc_trans reads with one of the template
- the cron sends a SIGUSR1 to sc_trans
- sc_trans reads its playlist file
- the cron replaces the playlist file by the other template
- the cron sends a new SIGUSR1
- sc_trans reloads the playlist again
