Optium line-in settings

Could any of the good people here tell me the best settings for using line-in used with visualations?

There is a noticeable delay with the default settings.

Is there an optimum setting?

My understanding of this is that there will always be some delay but how low can this delay get with the winamp?

I hope you can help.

Cheers,

Rovastar

If you're using the default Nullsoft CD/Line plugin (in_cdda.dll),
then there aren't any optional settings for line-in.
All you can do is checkmark "sample input from soundcard for vis" in the plugin config, and type linein:// in the Open Location box.
Naturally, the line-in also needs to be selected in Windows Volume Control -> Recording properties, and that's about as far as it goes.

The only thing which can cause a delay is if the buffer size is set too large in the output plugin config.

Opps meant to say the output (WaveOut, or other?) optimum settings config when using Line-In. Loads options in the advanced section.

Sorry I was in a hungover daze..........
