Missing input plugins
Ever since I switched from XP x64 to Windows 7 64 bit, A ton of my plugins permanently refuse to be recognized by Winamp. Nothing I do makes them come back into the list. New and old versions of Winamp don't fix it. Seems to mainly affect plugins like Adplug and related types.

Hi Cheezwizsz,
The plug-ins are probably not compatible with Win 7's restrictions on using the 'program files' folders and/or registry for storing configuration data. Have you tried installing and configuring them under Administrator mode? If you can't get Win 7 compatible updates for them, you most likely will need to find substitutes or do without. A list of what they are will allow other users to make recommendations. Windows 10 Home 64-bit v21H2 desktop - Logitech Z906 5.1 speaker system |

They're in the folder. Most of these plugins are simple "unzip into the plugins folder" deals and were working just fine like that until the OS change. Running things as administrator also changes nothing from the looks of it. The fact remains that the plugins sit in the plugins folder and are ignored by winamp, and apparently other programs that claim to support winamp plugins. That said, the plugins I actually noticed were missing have no existing alternatives and I'm stuck until it's fixed.

you need to provide specific links to the versions of the plug-ins you are trying to use as most likely the supporting dlls / libraries they need are not available or cannot be found on your system. and if other programs which support Winamp plug-ins are failing to load them as well would match up with my initial suspicions.
i know adplug has had issues in the past with newer Winamp versions though the last version i tried was working. but really a lot of the game music plug-ins don't work too well with newer versions of Windows. -daz |
