Winamp Error 88780078. Bad DirectSound Driver. Makes any sense to ya?
It also says, Plz install proper drivers or select another driver in configuration.
That totally went bouncer!. I checked everything under Device Manager, and its fine. And.. Real Player isn't working either. When I try to open volume control it says, There are no mixer devices avaialable. That happened earlier too, but once I restarted it was back to normalcy. Update : I get an Error Code 14 - 8007007E , Thats the error displayed when I try to play music on Windows Media Player. Why is everything so messed up ? |

Hi
What is your Windows OS? Go to: Windows Control Panel > Sound > Playback tab Make sure your soundcard is selected as the default playback device. e.g. I've got mine set to "Speakers: Creative SB X-Fi" If it's an onboard soundchip then you'll probably see something like "Speakers: High Definition Audio Device". In Winamp, go to: Prefs (Ctrl+P) > Plug-ins > Output > DirectSound Output > Configure and make sure the same device is set as the Output Device via the Device drop-down menu. If the problem persists, please include a DirectX Diagnostics log Go to: Start > Run Type: dxdiag Hit OK/Enter Wait for it to load Click the 'Save all information' button Attach dxdiag.txt to your next post here (Attachment feature available via the 'Go Advanced' button underneath the Quick Reply box). |
