Is it wrong to LOL?

http://www.charlotte.com/mld/observer/4346581.htm

Is this incredibly hilarious ( ) or completely disrespectful ( )?

The song wasn't chosen specifically because of its lyrics; it's more unfortunate that some people took offense. It's ironic that the song was played after that news report, but it's not a big deal, nor is it particularly offensive. I wish people wouldn't make mountains out of molehills like this - it's only a song.

Wow, guess some people can't understand what a coincidence is...

A very close Japanese friend I knew a while ago once said to me "Watashi no koto wo oboeta, onegai shimasu...Yakusoku?"

I forgot his name though...

I dont really find it funny that the song was played at that time...I finf it funny that people make such a big fuss about it.

Imagine what those people would have said if this song was accidently played on sept. 11

It is amusing in its own way.

The funnier thing is seeing Xerxes use a net term like LOL.

These folks would probably love to see a bonfire feed on the works of Voltaire and Swift.

I'm sorry, but that was funny. Almost as funny as my friend Dave and I singing "Great balls of fire" right after the Challenger disaster...

Casper really does look like the ghost of Richie Rich.

Personally, I'd prefer that little kids take a few hints from Top Cat.

ha!

"cnn is sad to report the construction of a bonfire, to burn the (apparently) unknown essay by Johnathan Swift. This occured after an unfortunate juxtaposition where someone actually read the essay after watching animals eat their children on the discovery channel... witnesses are still coming forward...."

i can almost see it.

It's not like the VJ's went ahead and told the shooter to snipe someone at that time. So no harm done... it's not their fault... weird in a way though.
