Releasing Winamp source code

Since there are fewer people working on Winamp, has Nullsoft considered releasing the source code to Winamp? This would definitely make Winamp even more popular.

i think it'd be cool to release the source to winamp... maybe not version 2 quite yet, but the original source... that'd be pretty awesome. maybe release the source to winamp 2 once winamp 3 is out..

it its really unlikely that aol would allow that.

No, you know what Winamp could do to be cool?

They could release their WA2x source code in like 2-3 years, that way the code is almost obsolete, what with WA3, and that way it could help future programmers.

See what I'm listening too.
