Missing metadata after short clips

I just installed Shoutcast for a local university I freelance at. We are using Simian automation with a Telos Z/IPStream R/1 audio encoder for our stream. I have the metadata working throught the R/1 and it is correct except for when we play a short 10 second liner.

Let me explain, if we play 3 songs back to back everything is fine and all three show up. If we throw in a 10 second liner then we miss whatever the song is immediately after it. I am stumped and have no idea where this problem could be.

For the record, I don't think it is Simian because the RDS data (which is metadata output #1) is being updated for everything, including the short clips.

I wouldn't rule it out

Is it just me or are shoutcast users getting dumber?
