Album Artwork synced to Android?

Hello, I have browsed possible solutions to this problem but are there any efforts underway to make a user friendly means of having album artwork show on your device? In my case I have got a Sony Ericsson Xperia X-10 mini-pro; I have just changed from the 'doubletwist' music app as Winamps desktop application is far superior... BUT... the absence of album artwork (which have been embedded in the files via 'TagScanner') is a serious drawback.

i keep a Folder.jpg in the album dir, and when i sync my droid it shows up. i'm surprised to hear your embedded art does not.

Thanks for your input MrSinatra... regarding your post, do you mean keep a copy of the JPEG in a folder that also contains the .MP3's?

in my collection, every album folder (which represents one cd of at least one song) has a Folder.jpg in it, as well as a copy of Folder.jpg for safety.

that works on just about everthing i use.

it seems like a convoluted process when artwork is embedded already in the file don't you agree!? i'm hoping that winamp correct this in the next android/winamp upgrade, but i'm not holding my breath! also; do you know anything of blocking the ad's on the winamp desktop application? or is that a taboo thing to ask here!?

no idea about ads. haven't even noticed any in the ML.

its not convoluted at all to save a folder.jpg in each album folder, b/c that happens when i rip the cd, eac, wmp, etc do it. i copy the file b/c wmp can overwrite the default.

if art is embedded it usually takes precedence.
