Adding silence between playlist tracks

Hi

I would like to know if there is any way to add 4-5 seconds of silence between playlist tracks.

I could open each (of hundreds) track in Audacity, add the silence at the beginning of each track, then re-save as MP3, but 1) take way too much time, and 2) don't want to risk quality decline due to re-compression.

Can anybody help me out here? Should I add this as a wishlist item?

Thanks.

If you're bored go here or, if the boredom is more serious, here.

Hi Siebe

I downloaded "Pause Between Songs" and it works great.

I can't believe this plug-in isn't more called-for, or that it's not a standard option on media players; any CD or album you buy always has a pause between songs. Your brain needs a rest and to finish digesting the song you just heard. Otherwise it's just one long continuous song with no rest.

Thanks.
