Different File Types
First Off, Great job on WinAmp 5.0! The only problem I'm having with it is with my File association. I keep my media folders on my computer sorted by File type so I can find Videos more easily. With WinAmp 5.0 (I upgraded from 2.xx) All files associated with winamp are "WinAmp Media File". Because of this, Video Files are alphabatized right in with my Music. A distinct tag for each file type would be nice, but a seperate Tag for Video and Audio files would be sufficient. Keep up the good work!!
Thanks, AF |

Sticky: Winamp 5.0 Wishlist (Read this first before posting here)
Winamp 5 Wishlist This is the list of the most commonly requested features for the next releases of Winamp 5. These already have been noted and do not need to be continually requested. These requests have already been brought to the attention of the developers. Threads asking for items on this list will be locked. Winamp Core General Different icons and file descriptions for associated file types Note, we've been asking for this feature for quite a few years now, and even more so now that video is supported. Naturally, if you use the Winamp gui (eg. Media Library -> Audio/Video views) instead of Explorer, or if you store audio & video files in separate folders like most people do (unless you're using some stupid filesharing app like Kazaa, which downloads everything to the same folder, and then you don't manually move them afterwards), then the problem is temporarily circumvented, until this well requested feature is implemented... *whacked* |
