SOUTHCast plugin Winamp send Invalid Trailing 0x00 on Artwork
I programmed my own Southcast receiver, everything works fine except that in all Artwork delivery do not send 'Trailing 0x00' at end of message.
I have followed exactly the specifications on page SHOUTcast_2_ (Ultravox_2.1) _Protocol_Details Why does this happen? Thanks! This is the data received from the SOUTHcast plugin for Winamp: Quote:

artwork support in the current release of the Source DSP is classified as broken on a number of levels including the issue you're seeing. it will be resolved when the next Source DSP update happens - though as there are no official players which even display the artwork, it's deemed as low priority at the moment.

Thanks for the clarification, I was going crazy thinking it was the fault of the server that I was implemented.
I will not advertise what I'm developing, but I would love that feature will work, because I am creating a chat feature that allows users to broadcast and listening to music using the SHOUTcast, and I have made the show Artwork.  thank you very much. PD. excuse my English |

it will be fixed along with Winamp getting support for showing the albumart - is just a matter of time to get around to fixing / implementing things against my current schedule of work. thanks for reporting it.

as an update, i believe i've fixed the cause of the issue you're seeing - was due to incorrect calculation of the metadata payload size vs what was attempted to be inserted into the packet (which is likely to have been causing most of the other issues people have had). as such it's now possible for the dsp to send to maximum metadata payload of 16371 bytes (which is 13 bytes taken away from the maximum packet size of 16384 bytes for the uvox header, metadata header and trailing 0x00).
i still need to fix how the artwork insertion into the stream data is handled, but will likely get a test build sent to you in a few days (or so i hope). -daz |

I'll take a test build as well if you will allow. Would like to test for the gaps I mentioned a while back if possible.

that's the bit which is left to be changed over to hopefully be fixed and you were going to get a build anyway
since i'm sure we determined things were ok with earlier test builds when the artwork sending was completely disabled.-daz |
