Winamp screenshots!

20 year Winamp user here....can't get myself to switch to foobar or anything else. Curious....what do your Winamp players look like? I've added a few things to mine, including the large cover art and lyrics windows (which load slowly, but still load I guess). I love the setup, just wish there was better (or any) gapless playback, and I wish there the cover art wasn't a bit jacked up (it has always seem distorted in Winamp, and I even read somewhere recently that was the case).... always like to see what other people have going on, or if they have a better setup. I preferred the old style skin myself used Winamp for just shy of 20 years.

What can I say? It works for me.

The scrolling font in the main player is Only when I do fonts. It's more complete than LCD Display Grid, though the 4 bugs me.
Playlist font is Pet Me 128 2Y.

Doesn't that irritate you that the playlist window is slightly larger than the other one? It gives me the heebee jeebees.

I had to have the Window slightly larger to fit longer song titles into the windows

I've tried hundreds of skins over the years and nothing came close to the Winamp classic

Apart from Quinto Black which I was using before Winamp stopped detecting the soundcard on Windows 10 but that's another matter.

Why did the fact that Winamp had stopped detecting the soundcard make you stop using my skin?

And what about getting some decent loudspeakers with their own soundcard?

It wasn't your skin causing the audio issues it was Winamp not wanting to find the onboard soundcard (when it was being picked up by other audio software)

Winamp wouldn't fire up correctly because of it so I sacked it off.

Quinto Black has been a great skin I was impressed by it!

But now I have other audio software I don't really need Winamp.

No one likes the default look? I think even 5 years in (I guess really 11....) it is still a nice, clean look.

I don't use Winamp anymore. I have fond memories of using it, though!

It was the first music player on PC that I ever knew so, of course I had to use it, I remember browsing skins for hours just to find the most perfect one...


Unless I see Winamp officially updated with some desirable features, I have no reason to use it anymore.

This is what I'm rolling with. Video window permanently open as I have a large concentration of music videos in my playlist, which is the main reason I love Winamp. The seamless switch from music to video.

Here's my Winamp screenshot. Minimal setup.

I rotate through Quinto Black CT, Big Bento Modern Beta, Bento and Winamp skins. But the vast majority of the time I use a skin I found on Devientart called Deweytears v2.5. I use it on a second monitor with Milkdrop viz set to desktop mode and that setup is fantastic for me.

Ok boys & girls, Quinto CT 3.6 running in my screwy setup in Winamp 5.9. Thimeo's Declipper is working, as is DJ Egg's Album Art hack, NXS Big Clock, and gen_lyricsplugin.dll - the one that goes out and fetches lyrics for you. This setup is designed for a 4K display.

Thanks to DJ Egg and others in the main 5.9 thread for tips and pointers on getting plugins working. I hope this Tip 'o the Hat doesn't violate crossposting rules.

5.9 RC4. Scaling now at 100%, Big Beautiful Bento Modern playing a Shoutcast station, same notes as above. It took awhile to get the spacing right in the ML. BBM can take up a lot of horizontal space, even on a 4K monitor. I've always been partial to the original Winamp color scheme.

Big Bento. Songticker and File info fonts changed, size-increased and anti-aliased. Tabs button text anti-aliased. Instructions have been posted. This color theme is from the Color_Themes_5.0 pack, 138 - 1337 |Orange. This is a 4K display but the skin has been altered so it appears as it would on a 1080p display. Some of the surrounding wallpaper which changes from Indigo to Orange color.

I still like using the good 'ol Inter-Pol 1.4.1 for my Winamp. Resizes and sets just where and when I want things and is easy for me to read (very important these days).

This color theme is from the Color_Themes_5.0 pack, 138 - 1337 |Orange. This is a 4K display but the skin has been altered so it appears as it would on a 1080p display. I've turned off the album art in the playlist editor and replaced it with Album Art 1.03, embedded into the Media Library since the old "Shoutcast" logo is too pixelated. I've turned off Album Art in File Info for the same reason and turned on Milkdrop. This could also be the Classic Spectrum Analyzer visualization as well. I've sized Big Bento pretty small to occupy as little space on the desktop as possible so it could be a *lot* larger on the 4K display.
