Disc At Once clicking in between tracks??
i've spent the last couple of hours trying to find an answer for this.
i'm big into trading concerts, and i burn all my live concerts Disc At Once. i don't have a problem with winamp playing the cd's or anything like that. the only problem i have is in between tracks, there's a clicking noise, usually around 2 seconds left. i've tried some of the gapless plug-in's...but nothing works. please help!?!? -andrew |

And does this clicking noise or gap NOT occur on other players, eg. WiMP ?
Have you tried installing the CDReader v1.95 plugin (gapless plugins won't work with CD's otherwise). Also make sure you read the accompanying readme.txt for instructions how to enable it (by disabling the default in_cdda.dll plugin). So... you spent 2 hrs looking for this? It's well documented...eg. From: TSGH -> Useful Links RE: Problems with AudioCD : Playback / Association / Autorun / CDDB http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=31494 (ditto/CDReader/etc) http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=79699 (gaps between tracks) http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=31555 (gaps between trax/CDDB) http://forums.winamp.com/showthread.php?threadid=78123 (gapless play again) Also note that you don't need any 3rd-party plugins to achieve gapless mode using v2.79 Crossfading DirectSound Output (again, this only works for CD's with the CDReader plugin), goto: Prefs -> Plugins -> Output -> Crossfading DS -> config: Checkmark both "gapless mode" and "remove silence...." btw, ![]() This version includes an even newer/better version of out_ds.dll http://download.nullsoft.com/winamp/...mp280_full.exe http://download.nullsoft.com/winamp/...mp280_lite.exe http://download.nullsoft.com/winamp/...amp280_std.exe What's new- Winamp 2.80: * fixed drag&drop from open file dialog related bugs * made CDDB support better handle not-found CDs/lack of CDDB installed. * update to CDDB ui (bugfix) * new splash screen * minibrowser security fix * updated winamp agent to support both winamp 2.x and 3.x * included PP's hacks for slightly better unicode filename support * in_wave support for floating point .WAV files fixed * better win9x compatibility for DirectSound * waveOut made skip less * some in_mod per-file fixes * OGG Vorbis support for Standard and Full installs. Or, if you don't want to upgrade (for whatever reason), latest out_ds is here: http://www.blorp.com/~peter/out_ds.dll With Winamp closed, copy to Winamp\Plugins dir. If you have Winamp version v2.78 or older, then you may wish to backup old out_ds.dll first... eg. rename to out_ds1.dll or out_ds.dll.old Hope this helps... |
