one's got Equalizer sliders the other one doesn't, both include both Eqmains though, so with a bit of DIY you can have either if you have downloed one of the two

DOH! not that guy again, I couldn't stand another one of those I don't care if anyone doesn't like the skin but just don't blame it on the picture, blame it on my halfassed skinning

why in the holy mothers name did you make an eq-bar-less version??? i could do that for some of my skins too.. either one should get less rating in orriginality since its just a copy.. (also should get less in completenss.. so like 1½ stars less in the totalrating) same goes with color variants from skins..

just my opinion..

i love the one with the eq bars btw.. it realy evolved into a good skin!!!
just delete the eqbarless one...

Actually the original is the eq-bar-less version, I didn't want to cover up that great pic, but then the barred version turned out looking better then I expected, anyway it's published now anyway and so far the eq-bar-less version has got more downloads, so I don't really see a reason to delete either of them

Because skins aren't just for skin reviewers - they're also for users

And many users don't use the EQ, so why mess up a good pic with monotonous bars if you don't have to?

Personally, I use the EQ a lot, but my next skin will be without an EQ - because of the picture. If someone doesn't like it, they can use an eq version (if I make it) or any of my other skins, or any of the thousands of other skins....

if ppl dont use EQ, they dont open the window.. so why skin it in the first place for those ppl.. makje a eqless version???? and for others a nonskinned MB version.. and others a nonskinned playlist version???

I don't use the equalizer, but I always have the window open, and I always skin it, the only reason not to skin it is more room for pictures, if you want to have a large pic on your skin there's no other place then the main/equalizer, and if you don't want it to get covered up, you get rid of the bars, it's been done a ton of times, and if I had only made one version it would probably have been a eq-bar-less version, that's the skin I made for myself, I did the barred version just to be complete cause lot's of people do use the equalizer. though I actually use both now

It's a pity there isnt a plugin that just gives an option to have eq sliders on or off...

That wouldnt be hard to make i dont think, and it wouldnt cause any probs with older skin compatibility, it just forces winamp not to display the regions from the titlebars down in eqmain.bmp.

[edit] Come to think of it, it wouldnt be much for nullsoft to implement that in future versions of winamp2. Theres an option to turn off the clutterbar, so why not the eq sliders as well??

That way users can choose, IMO it would be a worthwhile feature[/edit]

would be interesting but it would'n't work on this skin, if you took the barred version and cut of the bottom part of the eqmain.bmp you'd end up with a skin with just the top parts of the slider bars.

still it would probably work on most skins
