Search field not retaining search terms

First - I was very happy to find just a month ago that I could use Winamp on Windows 10. It is my favorite player by far, actually the only one I've ever bothered to really use, other than Foobar which is a mess.

Anyway.... the search field is not retaining the search terms if you click to another folder, eg., from Audio to History, or close Winamp.

That's probably already been noted but here it is again.

Any links to info on a more recent version, or news of what will become of this legendary and still great program?

Llama love!

Hi. Is the following setting enabled?

Winamp => Prefs (Ctrl+P) => Media Library => Local Library => Options tab
Remember search filters in media and album views

Could someone please tel me how to *do* a search? For example how would I look for all songs with the word "love" somewhere in the song name?
