Winamp converter abilities

Is there any way to convert WAV-files into AAC-files via Winamp? Or can somebody recommend a better tool?

I tried to switch from "DirectSoundOutput" to "DiscWriter", but there's no option to select "AAC Output".

Can someone help?

Using DiskWriter is old school, Winamp has an integrated transcoder.

Right-click on the tracks(s)/item(s) > select: Send to: > select: Format Converter

Wow, I really didn't know that Winamp owns such a function. That works great. Just some seconds and a whole file folder full of WAV-files was done.
