ML: change defaults for customized columns?

Hello,
if I add a new smart view in the media library, its columns are set to a specific default, which can be restored in the "customize columns" dialog by clicking on "restore defaults".
Is there a way to change these defaults, so that new smart views automatically look how I like? In the winamp\plugins\ml directory is a file "default.vmd". I tried to change it, but it seems to have no effect on the default settings?

hmm..noone got any idea? the fact that there's a default.vmd tells me that there must be a way to change it..?

i just want to support wayneberndz. i think this would really be a big enhancement.

i also like the columns sorted in a specific way and have to adjust this manually...

i also played around with default.vmd but did'nt find a way to influence the behaviour of the columns.
can anybody help?

it would be ok if one could specify in default.vmd how the colums should show up....
