Help with adding station to directory.

Hi,

I am trying to get our radio station herald radio added to the directory i have the stream public and all other options correct, the stream url is: http://185.35.228.197:9998/

Hi

Assuming you're using Winamp and the SHOUTcast DSP v2.3.5 plugin...

You need to set a name for the stream in the DSP config > Output > Directory tab.
Also make sure a relevant Genre is selected.
Maybe also enable 'Follow Winamp's title updates' & 'Send next track title' in the Titles tab.

I would personally also recommend using DNAS 2.4 instead of the old 1.9.8

Yes, that's better.
It now says "Local news and music station for Pembrokeshire",
though you should probably add "Herald Radio" at the front, e.g.

Herald Radio - Local news and music station for Pembrokeshire

Still havent been added to shoutcast directory though.

It's there now, under Easy Listening

Listed as "Local news and music station for Pembrokeshire"

If you want to be listed as Herald Radio then you should change the Name to
"Herald Radio - Local news and music station for Pembrokeshire"

People will then be able to search specifically for Herald...

would be much better to use the current DNAS rather than a 7-8 year old one which isn't supported and doesn't play well with mobile devices and all the fun that people are using nowadays...
