"Show Winamp in the folder context menus..."

In Winamp Preferences I removed the checkmark from "Show Winamp in the folder context menus in Windows Explorer" but Winamp remains in the context menus nonetheless. Even after re-starting Winamp...even after restarting Windows XP. Winamp is still in the context menus.

How do I finally remove Winamp from the context menus? Thanks for your help.

1. Winamp > Ctrl+P (for Preferences)
2. General Preferences > Jump to File > Shell Options (double click Jump to File to expand the options tree if needed)
3. under 'Windows Explorer Menu Control' unhighlight/unselect the menu items you don't want.

Thanks for your help.

I did what you said, from an account with Administrator permissions and with my protective software (Kaspersky) disabled.

The folder context menu is gone, however the file context menu is still there. Even after restarting Winamp, even after restarting Windows.

Unless you have other ideas I'll try a clean install of Winamp Pro. Hopefully that will work.

The JTFE Shell Options are completly broken with latest Winamp versions. We have to wait for DrO, 'til he find the time to fix it.

Alright then, I'll wait for a fix in an upcoming version update. Thanks for your help.
