Playlist not remembering unicode filenames?

Hi, I've been making a rather long playlist and as I went on, I never noticed that the playlist was malfunctioning and payed no mind when their was a "????" in place of the Unicode parts of the songs because they'd play anyway. But then recently I saw winamp skip a song as if it was no longer the same filename or something. Then I noticed a BUNCH of my songs did that, I just never recognized it because it's a long playlist and some songs I'm bound not to hear. It seems when I save the playlist, it will not retain the file path name of any file that uses unicode. Is this a problem with everyone or is there something wrong with my installation of it? Here are a few images of what is happening for reference.

Here is a file that while it is tagged with unicode characters, it's pathname is normal and works fine.

But this one uses unicode in it's file path name so it doesn't get recognized

By the way, I've never had a problem with this before when loading songs into the winamp playlist window. They all work fine, it's just when I save the playlist, their path names get screwed up I guess.

you need to save the playlists as m3u8 instead of m3u so it will preserve the unicode characters correctly.

nope, once the paths have been converted to ??? there's no way to get the original characters back. so you'd need to rebuild the playlists.

Well thankfully most of them were non-unicode stuff from my american music so I think I'll just re-add the songs and save it to m3u8. Thanks for your help.

edit: I forgot things like "é"(such as Beyoncé) are also unicode symbols....welp, gotta check the whole list now lol.
